Modern healthcare is getting more frustrating, especially when it feels like you have to manage everything yourself.

Is your doctor only running the bare minimum labs?

Does it feel more and more like you need a basic understanding of healthcare to make sure you’re being taken care of properly?

What happens when you’re seeing multiple providers, but no one is connecting the dots?

I am Tina Belt, licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, and natural functional medicine practitioner. For 17 years, I’ve practiced by reviewing labs that are drawn by your doctors, and I look for the overall picture of your health from a functional medicine standpoint.

  • Where does the red blood cell count fall in the range of normal?

  • Are your liver enzymes elevated?

  • Is calcium and potassium at the high or low end of normal?

  • How is your thyroid?

  • If you were injured, did the doctor order an X-ray and an MRI?

I specialize in patients who feel like they've tried everything, but still don't have clear answers.

Until recently, there was a standard of care in basic lab reports that I could depend on once a year to help you navigate your health, use less medication, avoid surgery, and gain a higher quality of life.

Lately, when my patients ask me what labs to run, I have to specify that I want a complete blood panel including thyroid function and vitamin D, because insurance is not paying for these necessary basic means of checking on your health.

If any of your labs fall out of range, make a note of it and print a copy of the lab report. Remember that it needs to be rerun at your next doctor’s appointment to check your progress.

Most of my patients want their doctors to draw a complete blood panel once a year so they can quickly address health issues before they become difficult to solve. This is where people get stuck, and where I come in.

This is exactly what we review in your first appointment. If you want clear answers about your health, start with a free consultation.

If you have a new episode of pain, and it is not resolving, I can help walk you through what needs to be ordered to give you the answers you need for effective care.

One of my patients went in for a test where the orders were wrong. I encourage my patients to stand up for themselves to have the order fixed so they can avoid answers that aren’t actually useful.

Remember that every single clinician you talk to has a toolbox. They will offer to help you from their toolbox. Over time, some popular tools have been proven. Other tools are simply what we have come to see as normal, including surgery.

In alternative medicine, it’s okay NOT to get surgery the first time it’s offered, but to ask, “is it safe to wait? What else can I do about this? Should I try something less invasive first?”

This is exactly why so many people come to me after feeling stuck in the traditional system.

Once you have taken a step like surgery, you cannot un-take it. If the outcome is good, then you feel good. But if the outcome is bad, then you find yourself in my office anyway.

Many people are developing disease over their life. If you notice any changes and respond to them with natural medicine, you will likely be able to resolve the issue naturally. However, we have been trained to respond only to serious disease, when it can easily be prevented with natural care.

The earlier you address these patterns, the easier they are to correct. Waiting often means a harder time getting better, more cost, and more invasive treatment later.

I can help you prevent taking a drug or getting surgery when your health starts to slip. Taking care of it now is less expensive than it would be in the long run if you wait until you need extreme measures.

Most of my patients want to take action. However, action takes time.

Real change takes time and consistency, just like going to the gym. But the difference is, you don’t have to figure it out alone.

If you feel like something is being missed, you’re not crazy. Most people don’t need more opinions, they need someone who can actually connect the full picture of their health.

That’s what I do. If you’re ready to stop guessing and start getting real answers, start with a free consultation, and we'll look at your full health picture together.
