Finding Motivation to Feel Better

Every different type of healer you work with is a step on your journey to be the strongest, healthiest, best version of you possible.
What does that look like to you? Do you know how to get there?
Achieving any goal, including bettering your health and mind, needs motivation and a plan.

Do you want to improve your health so you can play with your grandkids one day? Do you want to feel better in your skin so you can be more confident?
Regardless of your reason to take steps toward better health, it can be hard to find motivation even if you really want your goal. Why?
It doesn’t mean you don’t want it badly enough, and it doesn’t mean anything is wrong with you. Sometimes you need an easy way to elevate yourself to the next level of your health, so you have more energy to do the hard work. Changing yourself is hard work, and you have to find energy to do it.

When you go into the new year and examine your goals, you have to ask yourself how to get to your goal.
Do you have the energy?
Do you know how to get there on your own? Do you have a plan?

Is your foundation solid? Are you eating a clean diet? Are you resting? Are you drinking water?
Do you have a large amount of stress impacting your results? Are you exercising?
This might all sound overwhelming at first. How do you find the energy to get better when you feel so low? Here's the easiest place to start.
How Acupuncture Makes the Hard Parts Easier
What I LOVE about Acupuncture is that it decreases inflammation, increases blood flow and produces endorphins.
It makes you feel better even if you do not have all the pieces pulled together!
Remember it’s winter. It’s dark. Your body biologically wants to rest during this time of year with cold and longer nights. Maybe Christmas took a lot out of you.

This is a great time to keep regular acupuncture appointments. The cold slows the energy in your body, making you feel tired, fatigued, and sick. Acupuncture helps move this energy, improving your mental and physical health.
It’s so much easier to find motivation when you feel good. If you’re having a hard time feeling just good enough to make a difference, this is a great place to start.
Focus on doing any small step that preps you for your goals. Little by little, a little becomes a lot.

Five Element Acupuncture and Finding Motivation
In Five Element Acupuncture, I can program you to achieve your goals.
If you have not worked with me before, I diagnose you according to the five elements, where I figure out your primary element. This element represents who you are, and it impacts how your body, organs, and mind function.

I talk to people like a therapist would for a half hour to see what is holding you back from moving forward, and then I use acupuncture points to reprogram you to let go of blockages, worries, and fears.
Five Element work is a huge part of my training – after a 3-year internship, it has helped me to bridge the mind and emotions with the physical challenges you are experiencing.
Who Are You in the Five Elements?
When I treat patients according to the Five Elements, I find their power point. This is the source point on the meridian for your element. It’s like an internal IV for fixing your pain and exhaustion. It’s the on switch that says, “yes you can” after we feel like life has given us enough already.
Ultimately you must care for your body for the rest of your life in the middle of life’s ups and downs. The better you can do this, the better your mental and physical health will be.

I encourage you to see this as a journey and to steer your ship and find compassion, humor, patience, kindness, wisdom to support you as you take things one step at a time towards the healthiest, happiest you possible.
Sending love and light to you.
